Purpose
WSB®DEA-3000 is
highly effective for treatment of feedwater, boiler-water and the after
boiler sections of steam generating systems. It is also in use as a
corrosion inhibitor in steam processes and natural gas burning systems.
WSB®DEA-3000
is
a balanced mixture of morpholine, diethyl-amino-ethanol and cyclo-hexylamine,
designed to operate in all kind of steam circuits,

Advantages
Theblend of the three neutralizing
amines, combine the high basicity to the characteristics of low, medium and high
distribution ratios. So WSB®DEA-3000 travels anywhere in the
system, condensates in any steam portion and :
Inhibits steam-condensate corrosion caused by carbon dioxide and/or long
and/or branched steam systems as well as very short runs including
boiler-room machinery.
Inhibits corrosion in vapor-phase processes such as certain refinery
processes and in some waste oil recovery operations. Provides corrosion
protection where chloride, sulfide, sulfate, carbon dioxide, and organic
acids are present.
Provides corrosion protection to cold-end
equipment in the flue gas systems of gas-fired boilers and furnaces. Carbonic
acid and sulfuric acid corrosion can be severe in such equipment, especially
in very high efficiency installations which operate at / or near, condensation
conditions.
Application
The product dosage rate will depend on system design, water characteristics
and operational parameters.
When used to protect a steam system, WSB®DEA-3000 may be
added directly to the boiler with other boiler treatment chemicals.
The suggested dosing rate of
WSB®DEA-3000, when used as a steam / condensate
corrosion inhibitor, is to
obtain pH 8,5-9,3 in the condensate.
When used to protect equipment in a vapor-phase process, or in a flue gas
system WSB®DEA-3000 should be injected continuously into
the gas stream and/or the wash water (if used).
The required dosage of WSB®DEA-3000,
can be estimated at 25-50 ppm in the vapor. This initial estimate may have
to be adjusted upward or downward by to a considerable extent depending on
the nature of the process.
The required dosage of WSB®DEA-3000, when used as a
flue-gas corrosion inhibitor, can be estimated at 1 gallon per 750,000 cu.
ft. of natural gas burned.
Wear suitable protective gloves and safety goggles. In case of contact
immediately flush
with plenty of water. After eye contact seek medical advice. In case of
spillage absorb with
sand or other absorbent materials and sweep up

FDA / USDA regulations
WSB®DEA-3000
can be used under FDA / USDA restricted plants, or when the steam can contact
directly food or edible products, when the amine content in the steam is less
than 15 ppm.
