DESCRIPTION:

WSB COP is a blend of selected phosphates and polymers, which react to precipitate calcium hardness in the boiler as a sludge and prevent formation of hard calcium carbonate, sulfate and/or silicate scale. The finely-divided, non-adherent calcium phosphate sludge remains suspended in the boiler water until removed via the blowdown. WSB COP contains the best and most highly concentrated phosphates to assure maximum results with a minimum of treatment.

For high pressure boiler water systems, WSB COP is formulated as to follow the phosphate congruent control rates.

ADVANTAGES:

  • Prevents calcium scale deposits.
  • Forms nonadherent sludge.
  • Cost-effective. A phosphate precipitation program can be the most economical where significant hardness levels exist in the feedwater.
  • Clear and easy dosage control.

DOSAGES:

WSB COP dosages depend upon many factors including the chemical characteristics of the makeup water, boiler operations, percentage of condensate return, etc.

Approximate requirements can be estimated as ¾ pound of treatment per pound of calcium hardness entering the boiler. Individual dosage recommendations are made for each installation by our representative, based on his survey.

Dosage is controlled by a simple color comparison test.

FEEDING:

WSB COP is compatible with most boiler water chemicals and can be blended with them in the treatment feed tank.

WSB COP may be fed in a number of ways depending upon the makeup water characteristics and the boiler operations. Specific recommendations will be made by our representative for each installation.

PACKAGING & HANDLING:

WSB COP is packaged in lined fiber drums. Consult current Material Safety Data Sheet for handling and storage precautions.

REGULATORY STATUS:

WSB COP complies with FDA regulations for boiler water additives used in the preparation of steam that will contact food, and is authorized by USDA for use in federally inspected meat and poultry plants.
