Purpose
WSB ®EPT-2250
is an up-to-day buffer and corrosion inhibitor for steam boilers.
WSB ®EPT-2250
is designed to provide protection in all types of boilers operating at
high pressures, up to 2100 psig, operating in the Equilibrium Phosphate
Treatment cycle (EPT).
Advantages
WSB®EPT-2250
is very effective in controlling boiler phosphate corrosion, caused due
to phosphate hidout
WSB®EPT-2250
is a proprietary boiler treatment formulation, containing a special
blend of phosphorous compounds, polymeric scale inhibitors, dispersants
plus alkalinity builders in a single easily applied product
WSB®EPT-2250
offers much greater flexibility in dosage without over-treatment or
under-treatment of a boiler system when compared to a typical phosphate
cycle treatment program.
Application
As an EPT based treatment, WSB®EPT-2250
is case sensitive. So for each application, the individual
components of WSB®EPT-2250
are corrected, according to the equilibrium data of the specific high
pressure boiler-house.
That means a carefully balanced formulation which eliminates
the phosphate hidout under transfer boiling conditions, very common in
high pressure boilers. So the undesirable caustic or phosphate attack
and the deterioration of the protective iron oxides film is minimized.
The high neutralizing capacities of WSB®EPT-2250
insures the system from acid excursions corrosion, especially when
DEHA external oxygen scavenger is in use.
This makes it a much easier program to control, requiring
significantly less testing.
Being a EPT based treatment, WSB®EPT-2250
is used and controlled under the EPT control diagrams, and according
the instructions of the supplier’s engineers.
Statement on FDA / USDA regulations
WSB ®CPT-2250
is acceptable, without any restrictions, for treating boilers or steam
lines where the low pressure steam produced, may contact edible
products and/or cooling systems, where the treated water may contact
edible products.
This is applicable in official establishments, operating under the
US Federal meat, poultry, shell egg grading, and egg products
inspection programs.
