More sophisticated designs

The D-, A- and O- type water tube boilers are the typical designs, and can be found at oil or gas firing boilers and in pressures up to 60 bar.

For higher pressures and /or in coal firing boilers there are different designs according to the specific plant requirements, which can include more mud or steam drums, intermediate collectors, pumps, reheatings, flue gas or ashes reflectors etc.
