COOLING TOWER SYSTEMS
As was mentioned earlier, the cooling tower is a unit
operation that provides for cooling water recovery, thus, decreasing water and
power requirements. In this section, we will look at the evolution of the
cooling tower from the earliest natural draft designs to today's most frequently
encountered mechanical draft systems.
