| Corrosion
and scale inhibitor
Use
WSC 8800 corrosion inhibitor is used for the control of corrosion and
fouling in open recirculating cooling water systems.
It is best utilized in systems where the corrosion or fouling
potentials are severe, or the presence of traditional heavy metal
corrosion inhibitors in the plant effluent would make it unacceptable
for discharge.
Features
WSC 8800 is a carefully formulated blend of inorganic and organic,
phosphorous corrosion and scale inhibitors.
WSC 8800 also contains a newly developed synthetic polymer and
specific sequestering agents. Calcium carbonate scale formation, calcium
phosphate sludging and iron fouling are minimized through its use.
These antifoulants greatly extend the pH range in which the product's
optimum functionality is found.
WSC 8800 affords anodic and cathodic corrosion control, thus insuring
the protection of a wide variety of metals. WSC 8800 does not
contain chromate, zinc, borate or any other heavy metal.
Feeding
The product dosage will depend on the type of system and operational
parameters.
Recommended feeding method is continuously as received or as an
aqueous solution to a cooling waterline, cooling tower basin or spray
pond. The feeding equipment should be of plastic or stainless steel
construction.
Handling precautions
Wear suitable protective gloves and safety goggles. In case of
contact immediately flush with plenty of water. After eye contact seek
medical advice. In case of spillage, absorb with sand or other absorbent
materials and sweep up. Then flush the area with water. Before use
review the Material Safety Data Sheet for additional information.
