WSC 8828 corrosion inhibitor is recommended for control of corrosion and deposition in open recirculating cooling systems, in particular for cooling waters with a high alkalinity.

Features

WSC 8828 is a liquid formulation containing molybdate together with organic corrosion inhibitors, sequestrants and new generation polymeric dispersants to control corrosion and deposition.

It can be used to control fouling and corrosion in systems containing a wide range of metals including mild steel, copper and admiralty brass.

WSC 8828 does not contain phosphate, chromate, nitrite or zinc.

 Feeding

The product dosage rate will depend on the type of system and operational parameters.

Typical system concentration is between 50- 150 ppm. Initial passivation at twice the maintenance concentration is advised. The recommended feeding method is continuously as received to any convenient point from which good distribution is assured. If dilution is necessary, this should be achieved using softened water or condensate.

 Feeding equipment should be constructed in stainless steel or plastic such as polyethylene, polypropylene or PVC.

Handling precautions

Wear suitable protective gloves and safety goggles. In case of contact immediately flush with plenty of water. After eye contact seek medical advice.

In case of spillage, absorb with sand or other absorbent materials and sweep up. Then flush the area with water.
