Calcium Carbonate deposition control Polymers in WSB protect from Calcium Carbonate deposits, without strict dossage control requirements or tendency for sludge formation. SKLN 70T polymer, included in WSB formulation, inhibits Calcium deposition in two steps. First SKLN 70T is inserted in the microcrystaline latice, during the early stage of the crystal formation. By this procedure, internal stress tendencies and stereochemical disturbancies are created, and the crystal cannot grow any more. The included dispersant in SKLN 70T, adhers itselfs in the crystalite surface, dispersing it and non permitting its deposition as sludge in later stages. Organophosphonates included in WSB 1XXX, acting through the THREE SOLD INHIBITION EFFECT, are increasing the overconcentration, disturbing and inhibiting the appereance of the crystalites. So, the number of active crystalites is minimized by organophosphonates, and the finally formed ones are inhibited to grow up by SKLN 70T. Magnesium deposition inhibition Magnesium Hydroxide (Broucite), formed in boiler is extremely unsoluble and is very difficult to be kept in solution. In phosphate based tratment, neither chelants, cannot face the Magnesium deposition,. Crystal distortion agents cannot also prevent the formation of Magnesium sludges, due to the amorphous nature of its. In WSB 1XXX, we prevent such a formation, by using lignosulfonate based SLUDGE CONTITIONERS, plus the dispersing action of SKLN 70T . Iron Oxides Iron problems in boiler water treatment are based to the presence or formation of trivalent iron (Fe3+), and thus: 1. Unsoluble iron oxides are formed. 2. Those deposited oxides are electrochemically very corrosive to the steel. 3. Iron xides are binding and flocculating other sludge particles, creation further deposition problems. WSB 1XXX, is using EDTA and phosphonates sequestering effects as sequester iron and not permiting the formation of deposits. Metal passivator included in WSB 1XXX (except WSB 1040), is reducing iron to the bivalent form (Fe2+), improoving the inhibition process, Silicates Those very insoluble deposits are inhibited by SKLN 70T and organics. The crystaline silicate deposits are inhibited by SLKN 70T, like the Calcium Carbonate crystals. The amorphous silicate solids, like serpentine, are dispersed by organics and by SLKN 70T. Hydrocarbons Generally the all organic treatment programs are advantageous agains hydrocarbon fouling, compaired to the conventional approaches. WSB are designed to absorb hydrocarbons by organics, and to prevent either the flocculation of the boiler sludges, either the formation of carbonaceous deposits.
